Need TOM bridge help.

My Epi G-310 SG project needs both the bridge and tailpiece. (And studs.) All the ones I can find seem to be 2-29/32" for the bridge, and 3-1/4" for the tailpiece.

Mine measures 2-7/8" for the bridge and 3-3/16" for the tailpiece. I'm 99% sure that I'm measuring correctly. Would the lower-line G-310 use non-standard size parts?

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. I don't want to sink to much into this project. Thanks all.

Re: Need TOM bridge help.

You should have standard metric studs there. I don't know what they measure, but should all be the same size.

Re: Need TOM bridge help.

I'll check that with a thread gauge. I think we have one at work, but its really the center-to-center spacing that I'm concerned with.

Re: Need TOM bridge help.

As far as I know there are three different types of bridges ans studs. ABR and Nashville (US Standard measurement) and the metric sized. I could be wrong, but I always though metric studs are only made in one size.

BTW- I've got a metric TonePros set, bridge, tail and all studs for sale. They are gold.

I might be interested, but we get back to my original problem. According to what I've read about these, they have the wrong center-to-center spacing for my SG. Is it the standard 2-29/32" for the bridge and 3-1/4" for the tailpiece?

Ummmm...I don't know. I was unaware there were different sized studs in metric. I'll measure them later on tonight.

That's pretty cool.

Artie- I took a quick look around Stew-Mac and others and I can't find those measurements you listed. They all seem to be the 3 1/4" spacing.

Yeah, thats what I'm afraid of. I may have to pull the inserts, plug the holes, and drill new ones to the "standard" spec.

Just to be clear, this is the dimension I'm refering to:
