Hi guys.. I'm buying a Duncan Distortion off a great guy on the board here.. Anyway, I'm giong to stick it in the bridge position of my RG 450.. I love that pickup.. It's the F Spaced version.. I want to be able to split it and make it work with the stock pickups that are in the mid and neck positions, single / hum of the RG. Does someone have a wiring diagram or can someone point me to one on the web site so I can wire the thing in?

Does the DD Trembucker split well ? I mean will it work well with the single mid pickup in my guitar to give me a kinda strat tone? Since it's high output I thought it might sound ok.. especially in a basswood body guitar since it's kinda a bright pickup.. That's my fav duncan.. I've had it in a bunch of guitars and it's got the exact amount of power one needs, but still cleans up, and the treble doesn't kill you like a JB, etc.. and it's not so bassy as most Dimarzio's, etc.. Sorry, I'll get off my stump now..hehehe.. It's a great blues pup too I think!

Thanks guys..
Tim

Hi Tim; I assume your RG wiring looks like this:

Ibanez RG450 wiring

If it does, just make these substitutions:

DD black = Ibby V8 red
DD red and white together = Ibby V8 white
DD green and bare together = Ibby black (Or whatever that ground wire is thats left over.)

Right now I have a DD, with an on/off/on coil splitting switch, as the only pup in one of my guitars. Its one of my favorite split sounds. It should sound killer in your Ibby. ;)
