Im need wiring schematic for my rg s-s-h.

Using ssl-2, lil59 and patb2.
Need series ssl-2 with lil59.
Any idea to add other wiring?

Re: Need wiring idea

I missed this post the first time around. I'll see what I can come up with.

Btw: Are you sure the mini is 4P3T and not 4PDT, with three handle positions? Its just that many folks mistake handle positions for "throws". They aren't the same thing. Does the switch have a total of 12 solder lugs?

Yup, its 3 toggle. I meant 3 way. Excactly what you said the total have 12 solder lugs.

So, this is a 4PDT.

How many wires have your pickups?

nope. its 4p3t. :)

Re: Need wiring idea

I haven't forgotten. :)

One more thing though. Look closely at the side of the switch. Hopefully, it will say, (in tiny lettering), either on-on-on or on-off-on. Which is it?

Edit: Btw - that is a 4PDT, but with three handle positions. "Poles" are the number of "common lugs". Yours has 4. "Throws" is the number of landing positions the poles can connect to. Each pole has two. (up and down) So, you have a 4-pole, double-throw.

In comparison, the classic Fender 3-way/5-way is a DP3T switch. There's 2 common terminals, each of which can land on 3 other contacts. Even though one is a 3-way and one is a 5-way. They're both DP3T. :)

Re: Need wiring idea

I want to make sure I understand what you want. You just need to add a switch to give you the SSL in series with the Lil 59?

Re: Need wiring idea

from your consider, what should i do? for more combination sound?
cause artie suggest me using 4p3t with push pull pot. :)

Re: Need wiring idea

Re: Need wiring idea

First of all, as well as your switch is a 4PDT (as I said), I am glad to anounce you that your guitar's layout is HSH (or HHS) and not HSS, from the wiring point of view, independently of if your guitar was routed as HSS.

The Patb-2 (http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/humbucker/cutting-edge/patb2_parallel/) is a clear humbucker, in humbucker size.

The ss-2 is a real vintage single coil (http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/stratocaster/vintage/vintage_flat_ss/)

And the little 59 (http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/stratocaster/cutting-edge/little_59_for_s/) is a HUMBUCKER in single-coil size.

Second, I don't know how many conductors have each of your pickups. I already asked you some questions during this thread and you never answered so, I had to guess your guitar. I also guess lil59 is on neck, ssl-2 in middle and patb-2 at bridge (but, who knows!).

Third, Artie isn't part of Seymour Duncan, neither me, neither many others that try to help others (If you don't see Administrator in their profile, they aren't SD staff). So, I am a regular user as you and I could read your post, smile and read the next one.
So, if you ask for help, try to describe your guitar with accuracy and answer all the questions. Don't waste more of our free time (that we spend for free trying to help you). Think about the others, too. Write a little bit more, express yourself.

Absolutelly possible with a pull/push under the tone pot.

sorry for much to ask.
i knew artie and you not part of seymour duncan. And voluntarily help me.
you had great knowledge about wiring, thanks for helping me. :D

my guitar using lil'59 = humbucker but i like say it single for configuration. because when coil split it weak and i don't like the sound.

sorry for inconvenience.
