Need wiring ideas and schematic for my Fugly Buckers

I have one of the Guitar Fetish SG-looking blowout bodies and a neck. How should I wire it?

It has holes for the LP/SG control layout. I want to be able to split both pickups, but I don't know which coils to use. I was thinking along the lines of master volume/master tone and two Spin-a-Splits, but it might be interesting to spin from one coil to the other. Is that possible?
Please hit me up with some ideas.

Thanks,
Steve

Spin a split from one coil to the other? Dont think so...maybe with a stereo pot but even then. Why not take a look at one of duncans prail wiring schematics? There's a wiring that uses 2 push pull pots that give you all 4 options. Left coil right coil series and parallel.

Yes. It's actually possible to spin-a-split from one to the other coil but, experiments by ArtieToo (if memory doesn't fail) say that the tapper is better achieved with 100K Ohm pots. In my own experience, there is not so much tonal change splitting to one or the other coil for humbuckers having close to twin coils (what, usally happens for a better hum cancelling stuff).
So, just in my opinion, it makes more sense to split just to a single coil and, my personal election is based on position' strength.
The inner coil of the bridge pickup is stronger than the outer coil but, once more, this always depends on each particular pickup and, there is a single way to determine it: try one and the other, choose one. The spin-a-split can be an interesting experiment for you to help your election.

The fuglybucker was designed to have 2 different sounding coils but ... how does that spin a split work if you want to go from 1 coil to the other?

This looks interesting. I'll have to dig up a push/pull pot and see if it fits in the control cavity. Aren't push/pulls longer? The body is pretty thin.

A standard push/pull won't fit in a Gibby SG, I've tried it. If that helps.

If memory doesn't fail, all you need is to wire your red&white wires (Seymour Duncan's color scheme, otherwise translate wire color codes) to the center lug of the pot and then, ground one lug and put in the hot path the other lug (output of your 3-way switch!). In that way you will be selecting one or the other coil when totally rolling the pot to one or the other side (among some in-between states).
Look for ArtieToo's info (in The Vault, if memory doesn't fail). He explained a lot how it works and what pot tapers felt more "natural" to him.

My Fugly Buckers came today! Any other thoughts about how to split to either coil?

One more time...

My hardware comes today, so I will be starting this in the next couple of days. Because the two coils are so different, I would like to have the option of splitting to either coil.

Artie Too, you came up with a great schematic for my HSH Tele! Any chance you can help with this?

Thanks,
Steve

The soup is ready!.

According to ArtieToo's experiences, you will get a smoother taper for those blender pots with 100 KOhm pots. Be sure they have a center-off detent position (full humbucker in center).

If you really want to mess with wiring options the thing to go for is something that allows both humbuckers in series (that means all 4 coils in series) but out of phase.
