Need your opinion, gentlemen (pup rings)

I have time to work on this thing again (70's Hondo doublecut LP copy) I'm to the point of just assembling what I got, so I can actually PLAY it, instead of F-in around modding it. So what I got here is some different pup rings, the pickups I have are a set of zebra HB's, they came with black AND cream rings. I already have black "speed knobs" for it (which I couldn't find for the pics here, duuuh), plus there's already a bunch of black on the guitar (headstock, the bridge hardware, all the covers for the back, the switch tip)
Black

Cream

What do you think, too much black, or not enough cream? I'm picturing anybody reading this rolling their eyes like I do when my wife holds up 2 different outfits and asks me to pick something. "Honey, do these pickup rings make me look fat?" :18:
THis won't have a "poker chip" switch ring, cause I hate them.
I realized I have a brass nut, and a brass bridge/tailpiece for this already, plus the zebra pups, so this may end up a total 70's thing.

And holy cats does my phone take terrible pictures.

In the Gibson tradition, gold hardware, block inlays and multiple ply edge binding spells Custom. Customs get black or black 'n' white plastic parts.

Personally, I think the cream gives it that vintage look. If you want a more vintage look, the hardware would look good in nickel or chrome as well. Good luck on the build.

I like the cream, but you could also consider gold.

Go nuts, dude.

Personally i like the creme rings but I think they pop a little too much. Maybe some carved rosewood ones or brushed brass or gold to match the bridge?

I think the cream pick-up rings look better because of the brass bridge and tailpiece. If it were nickel or chrome on that guitar, I'd probably prefer the black rings.
