So Pretty..



Awesome tones, but surprisingly loud (ok, not really a surprise, more like denial of reality because I just wanted it).

I am using a Weber attenuator on the low and medium setting

Congrats on the amp. These look like fun.

How's the tone with the Weber compared to just rolling back the master volume? I had a Mass 150 for a while but wound up preferring the MV on my amps.

Thanks.. I've read and hear myself the amp shines best with MV opened up, maybe 2:00 upward. Otherwise, it is muffled or dull sounding with much less dynamics. Sure the Weber takes a little away but not as much as keeping MV down..

Don't the Origins have a very low output mode? Does it sound funny, or is it still too loud when using it?

Yes it has 20 / 3 / 0.5 watt modes. I am playing in a ~15x12 home office - untreated room with tile floor w/ a thin area rug so its still pretty loud with the MV pushed. There is not a huge difference in SPL between the 3w and 0.5w. I have an old Radio Shack SPL meter and able to get it in a 85-90 db range with decent sound quality.
