I needed another rig for my weekend getaway, so I found an Orange Tiny Terror used at Guitar Center for $300. The EVH cab Ive recovered in white speaker cloth to make the rig more living room friendly. The Celestion G12H30 in the EVH seems to match nicely.

Loving the TT, it has the low end girth for stoner/ doom rock/ Sabbath that the EVH was missing- and with the BBE treble booster it goes well into metal/ Judas Priest territory.

The EVH and TT are 2 totally different monsters- the TT is for my much simpler rig to rock out on the weekends, being houseguest friendly - Im suprised at the dynamics and cranked stack Marshall tone it gets. It's plenty loud, but I wouldn't say it could keep up in a band setting unless you mic it.

The 7 and 15 watt settings don't change volume too much. At 7 watts the tone is squisher, at 15 watts it's bolder with a stack feel.

I'm playing a Korina PRS through it with the stock Mira/ 245 pickups- which are their take on modern PAF's- similar to an SG. Very Led Zeppelin song remains the Same on cleaner tones, Sabbath on heavier tones.

Great little amp if you can get them on the used market. New theres too many options in the price range

I run my TT through a single G12H30 as well, 'tis my speaker of choice with it. Though through a V30 4x12 it holds up surprisingly well in a band setting sans mic. Wouldn't be my first choice, but its my only one at the moment.

I also got my Tiny Terror at GC's used section for $300, which was a heck of a bargain. It's almost shocking that a dual EL-84 amp can be so huge sounding and with such gain. I also like that it still has that Orange sound, which reminds me of Iommi. The three knobs make it simple to dial in a good tone. The only downer is no FX loop.

I sure wish I could find an OR-15 for $300, because that's like a more classic sounding TT, and also has an FX loop.

I use my Tiny Terror with my Bogner V30 212, and it sounds badass.

The TT is a great little amp and what I love is the pure, raw no nonsense sounds they deliver. I prefer the 15watt setting and at rehearsal I tend to have the master on around 8 and adjustt he gain to suit.

Re: New Amp Day- Orange Tiny Terror

I have the Dual Terror and it just kicks all kinds of arse. I was going to get the TT but found the DT and feel in love with it. Nothing against the TT at all still likely to pick one up.

Rarely run the full 30 watts but it's nice to know it's there I guess, I like the 2 channels too.

I wish I could weigh in on the amp, but all I can say is an effects loop is a must for me. Enough so that I installed one myself in my current amp. I tried to live without it, but I can't.

I agree with the effects loop- but this little amp has a pretty full tone on its own. Well if you need an effects loop there's always the dual terror

I have a DT as well as the TT and neither has an effects loop :-( but both sound awesome in their own tiny way :-)
