Mesa single recto!!!

Got it yesterday and its great!
The clean isnt as shimmery as my laney but I was not expecting it to be so an I love the switching options.

Channel two is great, it gives me my laney/iommi/sabbath drive tone when set on vintage mode and my brutal awsome tone when on modern setting.

Gunna play some more running it through my genz benz g flex and then try a tung sol in the v1, thena sovtek lps, then maybe try som el34's for fun.

Im happy!

wish I still had mine. make sure you at least try out EL34s. they add a slightly more British flavor to the amp and cut some of the lowest frequencies that can make the Rec a little boomy sometimes

Congrats on your new amp! A lot of people have said that the Single Rectos just feel better because of the 50w instead 100/150. To my ears they tend to sound fairly different from the Duals or Triples in a good way. Not quite the stereotypical Recto tone but not too far off either.

Any chance of some clips?
