I have mostly used the Bassman and (both) Dumble models. This may explain my experience.

I will let my humbucker fleet loose on the higher gain models and explore --- thanks for the tip!

gotta love the marshall modelers with HB's for that tight crunch sound. i usually put the gain on 12 o'clock and just max out the volume. well it depends on your taste though. anyway happy tone surfing!
