New amp time..

After school this semester im gonna work my ass off and save up for a good amp..

It has to be a 212/112 combo as there is no space for a halfstack ..

I play hard/classic rock, heavy metal and some metallica/megadeth stuff..
Bands like ac/dc, iron maiden , sabbath.. you get the idea..

The only amp i have considered so far is the peavey 5150 or the 6505, but im not sure if it suits my style.

Which amps shd i consider?

Oh that amp will fit those styles.. not sure the strat will lol! the 5150 combo is a great metal tube amp, wont disappoint you. Seeing that you live in Singapore, what amp brands can you get there?

Nothing too loud as im living in an apartment..Actually the 5150 cud already be too loud.. oh well

In singapore, Generally brands like marshall, vox, fender, peavey are the more popular ones.. Randall can be found too.. There is a shop that can bring in boutique stuff like mesa and hi-watt.. But they mark it up quite alot.. I just saw a guy buying a roadking that day.

I'm going to be honest with you and say that you wont be happy with a 5150 of any kind in an apartment. Its not going to sound good on 1 on the volume knob. I'd try to find something close to the same wattage of your Vox, or less wattage since it is tube.

zvex nano... with a good overdrive it is killer. They are not so good for cleans, but if you know how to use a volume control then it is ok! I am begging for one for xmas!

Marshall Vintage Modern combo, if you're planning on gigging with it. If it's a home-only amp, look for mini, micro or nano kinda stuff.

Wat kinda mini stuff are good? I only know of the tiny terror.. But it costs nearly as much as a full size 50W combo..just abit less.

hmm.. Krank Revolution jr ? they're not so expensive.. i saw a demo on youtube.. it's quite amazing.. just search for the word and you'll find some demos..
