New AS FOLLOWS single -- MCP (Tron, prog rock content)

TwilightOdyssey

Darkness on the edge of Tone
Finished the latest single from my prog rock project, As Follows. This song is based on the original Tron movie, and is called MCP. I have a few more ides for other songs based on the movie, and may get to them some day. This is a hold-over until I complete the next full concept album, Foundation.

MCP

I.
Solid state awake, aware
Fall into the machine
Processed, scan and pixelate
Living integrated chip
Binaric bytes into bits
Data clutched within the fist
Of the MCP
The master of all
The rise and the fall
Of the MCP
Part god and machine
The users called into being

II.
Monolithic sensory
Packets sent and received
Logic circuits now achieved
Computations near complete
Formant pitch synthesis
Random access memories
Of the MCP
The master of all
The rise and the fall
Of the MCP
Part god and machine
The users called into being

I've been waiting for another As Follows tune, and this doesn't disappoint. You a great way of writing really long, complex songs that still sound coherent and memorable. Your stuff is the only real progressive stuff I listen to, and I dig the crap out of it.

Thanks!

This project is essentially me solo with session musicians filling in what I cannot do. Usually, Claire Brock (London, England) plays drums but I played the synth drums on this one. Kurt Borst (Queens, NY) has sung on all of the AF material after the first album (my friend, Gary Pickard, sang on the first album). I play guitar, bass, and keyboards. Voice over work is usually done by Darrin Deans (London, England).
