In speaking to Atomic Amps president Tom King, I've arranged with him to get the new amps here to be able to demo for us local Los Angeleans. Get a first hand tryout with it in a rehearsal studio. Bring your guitar if you like too! We’ll have the 50w Atomic 212 and 50w Atomic 112 as well as two 18w Atomic 112’s.
We'll be doing the demo at Amp Rehearsal studio in North Hollywood. We're in the big room. Last studio door on the right. They are at 5259 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601 (one half block north of Magnolia Blvd) Phone: (818) 761-2670
It will be Wednesday, September 6th from 7:30-10pm. Anytime in there. Sort of like an open house.
If time and resources permit we can probably get a rhythm section there and have a little jam so you can hear it in a live band environment too.
So if your interested in coming to the demo and trying out the new Atomic Amps, please email me from my profile here.
Thanks!
Andy Z

PRESS RELEASE INFO:
Atomic Amplifiers is excited to announce two additions to its Reactor Series line of guitar amplifiers - The Reactor 112-50 and Reactor 212. These products build on the success of the Company’s debut, the Reactor 112, by offering almost 3x more power for guitarists who demand extreme volume and headroom while maintaining or exceeding the sonic reputation earned by their predecessor.
The Harry Kolbe designed, all-tube, Reactor 212 and 112-50 both boast a 50W, 6L6 based, class A/B power amp. Their birch plywood cabinets are tuned/ported and loaded with 12” Eminence speakers specially designed to Atomic’s specifications. The amps sport some features not found in the original 18W 1x12 version such as a master volume control, extension cabinet output, stereo/mono switch (to control the effects loop output – note: the amps are mono), a standby mode and the cabinets have a flat top for easy stacking. In addition, 2 pro-quality steel cabinet handles and touring grade rugged vinyl covering compliment the amps.
The Reactor 212 and 112-50 will begin shipping to customers September 15, 2006 and have an estimated street price of $699 and $599 respectively.
In speaking with Tom, some other items of note came up I can share:
~ Speakers for the R112-50 and 212 are rated for up to 200W
~ The website will be updated by the end of the month
~ Announcement for new distribution will come by the end of the month
~ People looking to purchase the original R112 should contact Tom at: info@atomicamps.com
