New bass rig... take 2.

Some of you may remember I posted about the deal of a lifetime on an SVT4/410HLF stack a couple months ago. The seller decided it sounded too good, and backed out of the deal. :yell:

Anyway, my band is starting to get more serious, and my current Ampeg is on the verge of exploding. It just won't cut it for girgs, and not even practice anymore. I'm thinking of going with Avatar (www.avatarspeakers.com), a relatively unknown among guitar players company for speakers. For power, I'm on the lookout for any higher end Ampeg or Mesa heads. I'm thinking of going with a 2x10 + 1x15 or 2x10 + 2x12 rig.

My bass itself may change too. EB/MM Stingray 4-strings look really, really nice to me right now. If I can find a killer deal on one, or even a G&L L2000, I'll be all up ons.

I was just typing all my ideas out. :D Don't mind me. Feel free to comment. But, if anyone sees any killer basses or bass heads for sale cheap, feel free to PM me.

My Bassist's B2R head sounds DAMNED good, and is plenty loud!

those MM basses (at least the one i tried on friday) have rediculously thin necks up at the low frets. it was...weird. but it sounded amazing

check out ashdown's mag series. great, great value and they sound really good. haven't read any bad reviews either. you can buy them at www.music123.com or check them out at www.ashdownmusic.co.uk. a MAG300 head and an avatar 2-10 and 1-15 would sound insanely good.
