New Bigsby Machine coming -to roller bridge or not to? Luthiers bring it!

Got a brand new guitar coming to me in Feb. (I know that a lot of new lately -but things have been good)

It's a Center Block Semi Hollow with a big ole' gold Bigsby....

Sometimes Bigsby movement can feel chunky to me with the tension across the tuneomatic and nut - So what's your opinions on roller bridges?

Give up too much sustain? can a sharp break angle preserve the sustain? set up the nut correctly and not worry about a roller bridge? worth the results of adding a rollerbridge?

Schaller looks like a nice piece of German hardware

The Schaller is classy looking.
Ive never had a roller bridge but it seems like a great concept.

It’s probably just me but I’ve never been a fan of the bigsby.
I mean, they look cool as hell but I feel like their functionality is pretty limited.

I've installed several of the Schaller roller bridges for clients with Bigsby units... Works great, looks great, doesn't cost a bunch.

The certainly don't do the diving and shredding like a good ole Floyd Rose -it's more of a tasteful touch of vibrato here and there thing -for me it's fortifying my recording arsenal of guitars. As I don't have a Bigsby style right now.

They look pretty sexy for sure ... the machining looks so..... German :) I think the Schaller is by far my fav of everyone I've looked at.

I’ve got a schaller wraparound on my LP Special and I can definitely say it’s a great bridge.

The last one on your list
Not that one
You'll have to move the strings to one side to release the saddles
then as you tighten the strings it will try to drag it back

I have the Tone Pros on my SG, and it's been great:

I was considering the Schaller, but I'd heard that it's 14" saddle radius can cause issues or at least uneven action.
