New Black Winter sets Scratched/Blemished

I ordered a set of black winters from SW, and they came with very noticeable fine scratches along the surface. With the great customer support they have, they sent me a replacement within a few days. This set was just as scratched, if not worse. I had them pull a few pairs from inventory to check out, and they were all the same. Slightly damaged packaging, scratched up surface and blemished backside.

I know this is just aesthetic and won't affect the sound, but I would just like a clean pair for the 170 bucks I'm spending. Or at least to know this is just the way they are, which I doubt. Even if they were used and returned, it shouldn't be so visibly noticeable.

I've tried to speak with Seymour Duncan Reps multiple times over the past few weeks, but can't get in touch with anyone. The one rep I talked to hasn't answered
Me since I sent him pictures of the sets.

Does anyone know if this is common? I will try to upload a picture as soon as I get to a computer

Thanks

Regrettably, yes. Representatives earn their money by maximising sales. Chasing up customer complaints is not a high priority.

What I actually meant was are the scratched pickups common. But that makes sense too

The TB-6 I received from GC a couple of weeks ago wasn't in the best of shape either. The bobbins weren't scratched, but I had to re-tape it and the box was heavily scratched up. My first thought was that it was a return, but the leads didn't appear to have ever been soldered or cut.
