New blues jam "Swine Flu Blues"

I'm not feeling well today - runny nose, shivers, pains etc, and with all the talk about swine flu, thought I'd do a wee blues thing about it.

I KNOW my vocals are too quiet, it's my usual problem, I can't get singing as loud as I should cos I'm at home, so ignore that part!

The guitar is my new Jackson DK2M. I used the neck pickup (Jazz) for everything except the final couple of bars of the solo. It's not a traditional blues guitar, but I fancied doing something other than heavy metal riffing.

dirty guitars and drums sound good. don't care for the clean tone, though i suspect it's just the toneport being itself;) it's pretty cool though.

way cool - for 1:21 second song it really has a song feel to it. Not gonna lie, I could only understand a lyrical verse or two - "out the door" ...props for singing when sick but be careful of the pipes when sick... reminds me of GnR slower bluesy sort of sounds.

Thanks guys! :) The singing is hidden because, subconciously I must be not wanting anyone to hear it!
I'd really love to get a drummer and just go into the studio and really find out if I can sing or not. :(

Sound pretty cool and I dig the solo at the end. You should add some really strange effects to it. :)

Re: New blues jam "Swine Flu Blues"

yeah the vocals are definitely back in the mix. like the sound of the guitars but the sound kind of reminds me of Steve Miller.

Re: New blues jam "Swine Flu Blues"

Thanks guys! I didn't know who Steve Miller was, checked him out on Youtube, (of course I was familiar with The Joker). That's a nice compliment, his stuff's cool. :)

Updated this guys, just did some new vocals for it, sounds a bit better.

Hey dude! That rocks, I dig that. I tried the Jackson once and it felt like a super sweet axe.

Thanks SS! I actually just redid the rythm parts, used a dirtier tone this time. It sounds a lot better. I'm pretty happy with it now, gonna redo the chorus backing "vocals" tomorrow, sort out the mixing a bit and maybe add some cymbals or something to parts.
