New Bridge Pup for a PRS Singlecut?

Hey guys!

I'm looking to drop a new pup into my PRS Singlecut. Currently have a PRS Tremonti treble, and the obscenely high output and overly scooped nature isn't doing it for me anymore.

I'm running the guitar into a Mesa Boogie Mark IV btw.

So, researching, and calling the guys at Duncan, I was recommended the Custom 5. Seems like a very good solution for me....enough output, but with some of that balanced vintage vibe.

So, I come to you guys....would you also recommend this pup? If not, what would you recommend for a les paul type guitar? I plan to use it in Standard and Drop D.

Added:

Completely forgot to mention music styles.

I'm looking for a good overall hard rock / modern rock tone. I want it to be aggressive, but not overly compressed. The most aggressive I plan to go is riffing ALA Chevelle or the sort. Don't really have to worry about metal territory much.

One more question...I also plan to get another pup for another Singlecut, but this one will be tuned to Drop C. It seems as if the Custom, with the Ceramic magnet, would be a better compliment for the drop tuning, the the Alnico of the Custom 5 on my main guitar in Standard and Drop D.

Would you guys agree?

Thanks alot!

JB for the regular one, Custom for the metal one. Neither of those 2 is scooped or fizzy.
