New build pickup placement

Hey guys i am at the point where i am going to start routing out humbucker cavities, neck pocket, and controls.

My question is if i have my centerline running down the guitar and the neck, do i center the pickup on my guitar centerline or does the pickup have to be slightly off set to account for the string spacing. Hope that makes sense if you need further clarification let me know. Thanks

Do you plan to have the neck aligned to the centre of the guitar???

If so, then bridge/pickups/tailpiece all need to be aligned based on this.

Yes the centerline of guitar runs through the center of the neck.

Strings are equally spaced at the bridge so the pickup needs to be in the middle and the strings will pass over the middle of the pole pieces
