New Charvel Traditional Pro...Tone Test/Demo..

Phantasmagoria

watch where you point that sabre
Soloing & switching between all 5 pickup postions over the same backing track that I used with my recent Ibanez SA160FM demo clip. Similar licks & progression. All EQ/Amp/Delay/Reverb settings for both clips (Ibanez SA & Charvel Tradional)are identical...so the only difference is the guitar/pickup tone (although I think I've mixed the solo in a bit lower level-wise for this one..)

P'ups in this guitar are a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 bridge, Coolrails middle & Hotrails neck. It's plugged into my AMT Stonehead 50 Watt SS head (slight delay/reverb in the loop). No pre/post production. Recorded with my digital handheld recorder's line input.

Re: New Charvel Traditional Pro...Tone Test/Demo..

Popped it up with my other tacky demo's on the tube!

Did one for my new Ibby SA as well.. :bigthumb:

The amp was dialed in for the Ibanez ...and the Charvel's solo was recorded a tad lower in the mix....just saying.

Both play like butter & sound sweet! Still waiting for my 'fret crowning tool' to arrive from China so I can crown the frets I had to level on the Charvel...but that's more cosmetic than anything ..no more buzz & it's playing like a dream :D

I heard the Custom 5 was supposed to have negligible mids...but it cuts through like a knife and even has a bit of a vowel-like/honky thing going on in the Charvel....I love it!
