There were some new Charvels released at NAMM this year, some of them I am pretty pumped about!

Here are the new colours for the San Dimas Series, these retail for 860$ roughly

More like 1 new, the dk24, although they did a black version with red pickups a year or so ago. It's what the motocross guys call BNG (bold new graphics).

That said, I like the natural okoume DK24, might check one out when they hit stores.

I love the tigerstriped one, but the rest isn't very speicial i think. It's very similar to previous years.

I prefer the truss wheel. No chance of someone stripping the truss adjustment. They used to have a heal adjustment that required removing the neck. I refuse to buy a guitar that require neck removal or loosing for adjustment.

My favorite guitar is an older So-Cal with the heel adjustment. It is a PITA when you have to remove the neck every time you want to change the tension. I'd be willing to give the ugly wheel a try.

I actually love the looks and functionality of the wheel, but I hate the new placement of the volume knob.

Fair enough, but Charvels are supposed to come that way. Would you want that thing on Stratocaster?

Contoured heel, offset dots, offset dots and that stupid ugly truss wheel? If you want all that buy a Jackson

Next thing you know there will be shark tooth inlays.

I love the Pro Mod San Dimas models, they look great. But I can't justify buying one. The transparent finishes on the last models were great.

Most of my guitars are heel adjust and it is not a problem. In fact, I don't even remember the last time I had to adjust one of my Charvels.

You can think I am in the minority, but the guitars are not selling and the price of the older pro mods keeps going up.

Ehh... if that is the case, I would ascribe that to declining quality and a saturated market rather than an improved truss rod.
