New chorus pedal day

I'm late to the modern chorus/vibrato party but yes,

walrus audio Julia in rare black Friday 2022 limited paint designed by Chilean pop artist Crisalys

It's part of a set they did and I had wanted one forever but held off cuz collectors prices!

But I love pedals that sound how they look!! It kept growing on me and so did the sound of the demos people did of it,

Analog chorus with digital lfo

The lag control and dry-chorus-vibrato control are great. Lag controls the delay time of the chorus and goes from... Shallow metallic flanger feeling to lop sided more seasick warble. Right up the middle gives classic chorus sounds.

It is a little thicker sounding than my ce-5, and I guess after all it is designed close to the ce-2.

Switch for sine wave on chorus and triangle wave for vibrato is very useful!

I had been using the boss ce-5 double duty as a chorus and vibrato by plugging a dummy jack into the second output but having that functionality on a knob and toggling the wave shape really beats that

It's inspiring to play it by itself.

I could have got something more functional for the money but what the heck.

They make a Julianna (the stereo tap tempo version) in a very cool limited matching artwork (they did a line of this style) and I hope to track one of those down one day too cuz I love how that one looks as well but they're rare

And the fathom has a dope artwork but it is also pretty desirable but also I am pretty set on ambient reverbs

Side note: a mixup led to the name in Japanese on this pedal being Fathom instead of Julia lol.

Ahhh I feel like univibe is different enough but I've never owned or extensively used one,

I feel like turning the lag up is more like increasing the warble and depth and univibe gives me more of a kinda not quite a phaser feeling? But that is going more at lower lag

Univibe sounds like it's own thing to me
looks very cool! with the lag turned up is it more univibe like?
