im starting a progressive metal band with a couple friends of mine and this is just a riff that i came up with. yeah, i know the sound quality sucks but it's whats on the inside that counts :laugh2:
and i just HAD to put in that dimished scale run just for laughs :dance:

hopefully this short 43 second clip will one day be turned into a 20 minute long epic! :haha:

cool riffage MooM ... i bet it'll sound huge with a full band bashing it out and fully developed with some chorus/bridge motifs, etc...

i have this one song in the mkaing that starts on 5/4, then goes to 6/4 then 7/4, back to 6/4 and then to 5/4

NO 4/4 FOR ME!!!!!!!

actually as i speak right now, im uploading the guitar tracks that will be in teh song. it's 8:04 long
but just guitar, no bass or drums or anything. so it's in the low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low stage of the process

I like the clean chorusy bits, but it reminds me a lot of pull me under at the start. it'd sound great with a full band i imagine

and just the other day i listened to it for the first time and noticed actually how similiar it was.
