Like a power ballad from HELL........ J/K

Squier powers shall unite to take over the world.....

That main lead line really sticks in my head, perfect for that track. Quite hypnotic.

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

Ugh...just caught my flub in the title..."SQUIER", lol

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

I like it.

I don't think I could even play it.
I put vibrato on everything.

Even sounds good through my crappy laptop speakers.

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

Glad you liked it! :) I do wiggle the strings on this one, but I made a conscious effort to keep it very light. I have a tendency to bend notes clean off the side of the neck, & this amp patch gets that real sweet right-on-the-edge-of-feedback sound if you hold the note steady.

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

Dude you really becoming a shred monster. The Lead parts begin to make sense Zuahauauhauha:D
I like the clean tone alot. And your riffage is top notch as allways.I enjoy it.

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

Thanks again guys! :)

I've made a few changes; redid the last 4 bars of the solo, extended the clean change part in front of the solo, & also added that change to the fadeout.

Forgot to mention: guitars tuned AEAEAE, bass tuned AEADG.

Uberschall, 4x12 v30, boost, delay, reverb, chorus. You want I should upload a patch?

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

ubershall, that one sounds very harsh on my PODxt. plus the controls are weird.

I usually use the diety lead for uh....lead. but it doesn't sound quite as big.

Yes, please post the patch.

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

Yes. I planned on changing pups right after buying it, but I'm still digging the stockers.

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

Thanks, glad you dug it!

bigheadood, something I remembered about the lead patch; I did some post eq'ing on this track (I always do). I added some mids (I could screenshot the eq settings tonight if desired) & that really woke it up as far as sitting in the mix. I might've cut the bottom a bit, too, can't recall. But I know I bumped the mids up.

Re: New clip, Squire '51, Schecter Hellraiser

Thanks.
I tried out this patch last night. Reduced treble just a touch, added mids, just a little bit, and reduced chorus. Great lead tone. Had a 2-hour shred fest.
I will definitely find a use for this tone in future recordings.

Much Appreciated,
Nick
