After the long wait, I finally made it back home with this here beauty. It plays really well, sounds bright but has a huge bass (beats me how that works) and is incredibly resonant. It's equipped with a Duncan Distortion and a Dunacn Jazz, and the pickups split when the tonecontrol is lifted, very cool. Hope the pics work.

P.S One thing though, the areas around the tunerwasheres are somewhat milky and a bit bubbly, I think the lacquer on the headstock must now have been 100% dry when he stringed it. The luthier said I could apply some Satellite City superglue to fix that problem. Now, where the h**l do I get that superglue from??

Eww.. i see what you meant by the bubbles. I love it!! The finish is almost 3D.. thats amazing. Do you mind saying how much it cost you? Ive always wanted to go custom, but its usually costly. Looks excellent though.

Wow, beautiful guitar. For the kind of cash that it probably cost, I'd demand the luthier fix the headstock.

That's fantastic!

I'd love it if you could give me some info on a couple things. First, if you find a way to get rid of the bubbles, let me know - I have the same problem multiple places on my Warmoth.

Second, could you ask your builder how he avoided having the laquer yellow the masked binding? Both on my Warmoth and on the majority of the PRSs that I've seen, the side of the maple left unstained is tinted yellow when sprayed with the initial coat of laquer. Maybe he can tell me how to avoid that.

Who did it? I ask because of the Ormsby, was it Perry Ormsby from Australia? Just curious. The luthier I'm talking about makes one dreamy guitar and yours is right there.

Hey guys thanks for the replies/feedback. Yes, it was made by Perry Ormsby of Ormsby Guitars. The construction and finish is absolutely top notch, the only thing I have to complain about is those bubbles. Unfortunately, they appeared on my last day in Australia (about a week ago, I'm back in Sweden now) so he really couldn't fix it, otherwise he would have. He told me about this Satellite City superglue though, it works on two-pac (I think two-pac is some sort of poly lacquer) and I've read about people using it to fill in chips/scratches with 100% perfect results. What the glue does is that it seeps in and when it hardens, it's totally clear and eats away any moisture or gap there is in the lacquer. Hopefully this will work, worst case I just bring my guitar next time I go to Australia and have him fix it. The whole thing is just bad luck really I reckon, but I'm not as bothered about it as I was in the beginning. I WILL have it fixed somehow though.

As for the price of the guitar, I got a really good deal. His prices are higher now, and he's busier than ever. I paid a total of about $1400 for it, INCLUDING the aluminium flightcase. The maple top is really spectacular, it's the tightest and most detailed quilt I've ever seen. It's also extra thick, very close to a full inch. The mahogany is also a really nice piece of wood, and this guitar is so damn resonant. I had it on a chair, and when plucking the strings you can feel the vibrations in the floor. When doing slides, you can feel the whole guitar vibrating against your body and it sustains very long too. Simply an amazing guitar. The colour is so damn nice in person, not as bright as in the first photo, and not as murky looking as in the rest of the photos... Just.... Better :D

That thing looks gorgeous! Congrats.... I'm no fan of hockey-stick headstock but the rest looks amazing! That top really is THICK!

I'm almost ashamed to own this, considering what a hack I am at guitar. Hopefully this baby will inspire me to practise more though. One good thing about getting older is that you can afford more expensive toys :D
