New Dimarzio, the Crunch Lab...

Hello, I was just on Dimarzio's website and it seems that they have a new high powered bucker out, the Crunch Lab, it looks just like the Drop Sonic, but according to them it is voiced different and is a different animal. I can't wait until some people can get their hands on this (myself included) and check it out to see if it really is different from the D Sonic.

I happened to see that this morning. The Crunch Lab is a new John Petrucci sig model bridge pickup.

They also introduced a new neck pickup, the Liquifire, also developed for/with Petrucci. Their site describes it as based on the Air Norton but with a smoother high end and tighter (if that's possible) bass.

re the liquifire:
as far as i can tell, it's a virtual vintage airbucker.
considering it's 10K and recommended as a neck humbucker, i'd expect it's 2 "under-wound" AWG43 (ie screamin demon) coils and not over-wound and AWG42 (ie brobucker); either way i expect it'll sound good in the bridge, and with the extra VV inductance and airbucker spacers should make for an interesting LP bridge pickup

Honestly?
Dimarzio has so many high output ceramic bridge pickups, give us something new!
