New Epiphone Explorer

I've been looking for a Korina 58 Epiphone Explorer and I found that American Musical Supply has them in stock so I pulled the trigger and bought one. It's currently at my guitar tech's workshop getting a white pickguard cut for it. I'm also going to put gold knobs on it so it will have a white pickguard with gold knobs. I don't like the black that the guitar comes with.

I've decided to initially put a Custom 5 in the bridge and a Screamin' Demon in the neck. I'll see if I like the way both pickups sound.

That will look nice. A lot of people like the newer Epiphone pickups, you may want to give them a shot. They're not the complete trash they were back in the day.

i think a c5 will sound great in the bridge of that!

Using the stock pickups for a bit might tune your ear to what the guitar needs (if anything). Sometimes it is surprising which pickup might be the best choice once you hear the stock guitar for a bit.

always a good idea to check out the stock pups before ya swap, but i usually dont love stock epi pups
