New Guard For G&L Legacy, has anyone ever got one, if so how?

I want a new pickguard for my G&L Legacy, either a H/S/S or H/H & because I'm pretty sure you have to have them custom made I guess asking for just one tone knobby shouldn't be a problem? So how does one go about doing this? I love G&L guitars, actually I love all things Leo! From the Broadcaster & other namesake guitars to Music Man & G&L, all of them are special to me in their own right. The only real complaint I have about G&L is their customer service, my complaint is they don't have any? It's completely nonexistent, nothing? I guess if you have a problem you take it up with your dealer or spend a lot of time witting letters that you probably will not get an answer too? I don't know why this is, but it is? So I looked into this a while ago and I was told you have to send yours out to be traced & then another is cut using it as a template? So where do I send it, has anyone else run into this problem and if so how much did it end up costing? You would think they could afford to have someone around to answer questions or at least the phone? Anyway, if you know anything about it please fill me in, also if there's anyone out there who has guard building experience & thinks they're up for the challenge please don't be afraid to P.M. me...

Thanks for looking!

If you post this on the G&LDP, someone will know who the current supplier is. I think it used to be Chandler, but I'm not sure who it is now. They supply the factory guards so getting one should be pretty easy...unless you want a non-standard material.

Good luck.

The supplier is Pickguard Heaven. If your pickguard is listed, I think they have a template already and can make you a pickguard easily. If it isn't listed, you need to send them your current pickguard and specify what changes you want made. I have a G&L Tribute that I was looking into this, but never followed through. They said they can take a tracing of your current guard, but you have to make sure it doesn't resize the image, otherwise things will be all messed up. That's why they prefer you sending in the actual guard.
