New guitar build - update

I got the body halves glued up using the vacuum clamping frame I made. Jointed the edges using my table router and a 1/4" thick strait edge (I don't have a joiner), then glued the two body halves together with a .2" coca bola strip between them. I got the body template made out of 1/4" plexy. Still need to make the templates for the neck, neck pocket, and control cavity.

Thanks GuitarDoc and CTN. I will post my progress and pics as it progresses. The specs: Scale - 25.5", Body - Koa, Redwood, Maple, Redwood, Koa, with a Coca Bola strip between the two body halves. Neck - bolt on 24 fret VG grain maple with a Coca Bola strip matching the body running the length with a Coca Bola FB. Floyd Rose with a HB in bridge position and probably a P90 in neck with 1 vol. 1 tone and a 5 way. Undecided about hardware color, chrome or gold?

wow, that's a lot of different wood! Be careful working with the Cocobolo, its dust is extremely allergenic/toxic. The owner of Decibel guitars was telling me on facebook the other day that a friend of his was working with some cocobolo, and wasn't using adquate protection. Ended up breathing or ingesting some and couldn't stop puking for 3 days straight.

Are you going with a natural finish or a stain/dye?
