Another Facebook marketplace impulse buy.
Aka (I sold a guitar so I had cash to burn)
07 Studio, I believe this is a vintage mahogany called "worn brown?" It looks to me like it has a mahogany top.
'59 neck shape.
I installed straploks, yanked the pickguard , ordered gotoh chrome keystone tuners for it that should be here today sometime. Off Amazon.
I love the swirls in it, kind of unique. I saw it had Duncans in it, but when I asked, the guy didn't know what models they were.... In my head, any SD would be better than those danged 490t /498 pups the Gibson used in these.
This one doesn't have much wear on it at all. It's minty minus a couple very small dents.
Turns out they are Jazz Neck and Pearly Gates bridge. Not really metal.... But also don't sound bad for metal.... PG is a beautiful pickup.
I haven't decided if this one is staying std tuned or going Drop B with most of my other guitars....
