Yes, and plugged too!
I've actually been considering this model. I think that I'd prefer what you have with the hog body and neck. They have a similar model (SH 60), but alder and maple are featured.

Unplugged it sounds thin as one would expect but with surprising volume. I assume that as the top vibrates from playing (or use of other means) it would sound fuller.
Plugged in it sounda a touch airy.

Cool I had a Flame Koa AE 185 at one time. I have looked at that model and wondered how it sounded.
Love the way Carvins look and play but for years they used those Graphite Rods in the necks (95-2008) and it absolutely killed the tone. They stopped using them a few years back and I have started looking at them again.
I once had quite a Carvin collection.
Now only this one is left and it will never be sold

Whoa man... take a look at that BEAUTIFUL freaking neck!!!! Whoever cut that piece of wood did a perfect job. The quilt top is awesome too!
Carvin does have the most stunning woods of all the guitar makers out there.
