This beauty just arrived today and I had trouble putting it down at all tonight. Shipped with Saturday Night Specials, but the jury is still out on them. I guess I'll just gave to play it a bit more.

badass! what is it you dont love about the sns? it took me a while to get used to a4 magnets, i like em in the neck more than the bridge most of the time

That’s Doug Kauer’s brand. He makes some quality stuff from what I’ve read. I’ve never tried one myself.

Never heard of that brand... where did you find it?

I stumbled across the brand when looking for a quality firebird style guitar and then found one in my local shop. I joined a facebook group that Doug Kauer started and he posted that this one was for sale. I made an offer and week later it arrived. I am selling my green burst Banshee, because there is no reason on earth for me to have two of them and the mini buckers in the green burst aren't ideal for my current musical endeavor.

I didn't pay that, I got a good deal on this one. That said, they are worth it. Equal or superior to any product from PRS, Gibson, Fender, etc... that I've played.

I generally feel that the "boutique" thing is nonsense, but Doug makes great guitars. Great workmanship and incredibly solid products.

I posted a topic in the pickup forum, with my current amp setup I'm just not getting the tones that I need.
