New cheap shredstick day!
FedEx girl steps out goes "cool you got a new Jackson!"
I said ya, she said "my first guitar was a Jackson"
I told her mine was too! Even though it wasn't...it looked like one! My second guitar was a real Jackson lol!

I have a new friend now! FedEx girl is a shredder!

Anyhow here she is virginal:

15 minutes later with straplocks, new strap, detonator installed.

Edit now with od green truss cover lol!

Took me 10 minutes to get the thing tuned with the Floyd set up.

Here ya go, literally the first ten seconds it's ever been plugged in. She's popped.

I figured Anthrax was suiting.

So apparently I have to finish someone's job... I'm not going to really bash or complain about QC.... For the price tag I kind of expect it to not be perfect...
Now It's all good. Took me 20 minutes tops.

Thanks! It's different than gloss black like a million others so.....
I was this close to painting my pickups with some flat of green spray paint before installing them.... I still might do it ha ha.

Cool V - my all time fave guitar model. Make me look cool, even though I am not. :D Is that an X or JS? Jackson pickups suggest a JS, but can't see the neck joint properly... Or do they already make neckthrus in their lowest line?

Who can argue with a pointy V?
Mine is a JS32 I got for $170, then modded her as follows:
--decorative gold string through tailpiece on eBay for ~$15
--Wilkinson solid brass bridge for ~$25 (GREAT upgrade, especially for the price)
--Hipshot locking tuners ~$60
--Gibson 500T bridge humbucker ~$50
--Gibson 490R neck humbucker ~$50, UOA5 magnet ~$5
--1M audio taper volume pot w/ momentary kill switch ~$20
--No load audio taper 500k push/push (NOT push/pull) tone pot to swap between series/parallel for the 500T bridge humbucker ~$3

Total cost ~$400
Total joy - priceless

Congrats! My first electric was a js32 dinky. I still own it. I ordered it without having a clue about electric guitars. I’m happy I went the Jackson route!

Congratz with the new axe my man!
Seems like the Jackson JS-series have a good following and a strong reputation of being a qualitative guitar at a budget price, always a good thing concidering the price of most guitars these days.
