In a fit of midnite shopping on ebay I bought the parts for my first partscaster guitar. Soon after receiving said parts I realized I didn't have the skill to mount the neck to the body so a trip to my local guitar shop and $28.28 later here she is:

There's still some cosmetic stuff I want to do (new pickguard, possibly paint the headstock) but she's up, running and gives me that strat jangle that I didn't realize I missed 'til I heard it. Moar pikchurs l8r.

Nice!

Agree with LL. Black hardware on the body and neck are much better than the usual chrome. Looks slicker, meaner.

As a side note I dislike the look of chrome hardware, the black stuff is slightly more expensive but oh so worth it. I'm glad y'all approve! I even spent an hour playing her unplugged before I even got in the shower this morning. Priorities, mate, priorities...

If you dial it in right you get a very chimey, jangly sound which is the perfect tone for me and my rhythm technique (I used to play in church). It also sounds good going through my Zoom pedal through both amps. I have a few things I play to see if I like the tone of something and it nailed them perfectly.
