New Guitar Ecstacy!

Fellas I'm in heaven! I made that hour trip to check out the Godins I had posted about. Took my beautiful wife with me. Got to the place and checked out a few and was impressed with them. The wife liked em too. I settled my eye on a Trans Red SP-90 model. While browsing the wall I crossed on a Gibby LP Studio Plus I had seen on line and had considered a while ago. "OOH thats Pretty!"said the wife "I like that!"
I had wanted to get a Godin with SPank-90s and one with HBs cause they're reasonably priced and good guitars. But.........that Gibby!
"Well if you want 'em get 'em both" said the wife with a sweet" I love you" look. "You deserve 'em". :10: :8:
Guys, they absolutely DON'T come any better than this! The blood was rushin in my head. A woman of this Caliper :7: and 2 Fine guitars (the Gibby and the Godin SPank-90) to complete my collection! Life IS WONDERFUL!!!

Pics Tomorrow Fellas! (No, not of my wife! She's all mine!) :9:

Yes, you must post your wife. She is the one who let you get the guitars. She is as vital as the guitars themselves...

We didn't make you tell us about her... now you have to face the music and post her pic...

uhh... please....

someone please explain to this unmarried guy, why everyone gets so excited about their wives allowing them to get new guitars... Isn't it your money? Aren't you capable of exersising your own judgement on how to spend it wisely?

Sorry if that came as a buzzkill, I really am excited for you (and wish I had two new guitars of my own :D), but I just don't get the wife thing.

Blue Calx: It's simple really. You're supposed to be equal partners with your wife, so the money should also be equal. You don't want her to go spending all the money on stuff, and likewise she doesn't want you to go spending loads of money on guitar stuff. When you have different interests, there are different opinions on what money should be spent on. So if you manage to get your wife to 'allow' you to get a guitar, then it's a victory! :D Some people may say that if you work, you should be entitled to more money or whatever, but I don't look at it that way.

Oh yeah, congrats on the cool guitars! :D Be sure to post pics ASAP.....

I think that's the way I understood it, but does nobody marry and then assume domain over their own income (helping the other out financially if they need it, of course... you are partners after all...)?

Oh well, that's a thought for another thread. Congratulations again on the new purchase, Godins are super!

Thanks Fellas!
Well said Darkshadow. Notice I didn't say she ALLOWED me to spend the money. I do consider it to be OUR money. We build our home and our life TOGETHER. I want her to have the things that make her happy too. Yes I am King of my Kingdom (and she treats me thus) but I try to be the head of my home in a loving and unselfish way. I have PLENTY of guitars and equipment. (See my signature list) I intended to buy more equipment but not spend as much as I did. The wonderful thing about her is that she ENCOURAGED me to be generous with myself when I know that money would be better spent on more practical things. She loves her Ole hubby (though sometimes I don't know why). She's the most wonderful thing in my life. Next is the beautiful Lil boy she gave me. And then there's these beautiful guitars!
