I picked up that gold ES 295 at a guitar show a while back at a great price. Played it for a bit and it's just too big and beefy too get my arounds and the upper fret access was tough. Sold it to a guy who missed out on it at the show and really wanted it. He is in a rockabilly band so it's perfect for him.
Last spring I went to Walt Grace Vintage in Miami which is a freakin rad guitar shop. They have amazing vintage and new guitars on one half of the shop and vintage cars on the other half. Plus an amazing coffee bar as well. I could spend all day in there. When I was in there I fell in love with a Brunswick Green 335 but it was.........$7k. Not gonna happen.
So here I am, money in my pocket after selling the 295 and I find a Brunswick Hawaiian Blue 335 (which I like even better) but with better (IMO) specs.....block inlays, custombuckers and that finish....so nice. Just pulled the trigger and hopefully arriving next week. Will also be a good buddy to my Gretsch Falcon in a somewhat similar blue sparkle paint.
I need to chill out on guitars.
