New Guitar Incoming (Sold an amp for this)

I earlier sold my 50W handwired plexi clone and a 2x12 because I have moved on to modeling completely. The extra heat burning hot EL34s bring isn't helpful in a tropical country with a gaming PC next to it. (some of you may remember that this amp once caught fire during a rebias)

Anyways, a post on Facebook caught my eye: a 1990 Burny Super Grade. I seem to be magnet for these MIJ LP copies...

I wasn't looking to spend the proceeds I got from the amp, but I figured why not? It's not like these pop up all the time in good condition.

So here I am, waiting for the delivery man to arrive in 2-3 days.

Probably some accident. Doesn't matter. I can get a replacement for that :bigok:

It looks so much better than the pics they sent me. Everything looks just RIGHT and I HATE cherrybursts in general!

Unfortunately the ring will have to be replaced. It sticks up too much

The previous owner (****ing wimp) had it set up with 9s and action right on the frets. I'll have to string 10s or 11s and raise the strings up a bit.

Discovered another problem.

One of the tuners seem to have gotten loose. Thankfully I have a replacement. Seems to have impacted something.

Good news is, upon further inspection, the broken pickup ring still functions fine.

Nice score! My buddy is going through a phase with the MIJ Les Pauls too. He's been focusing on a certain specific production era from Orville mostly though. He's bought a few and they are pretty cool. He would love this guitar.
