New Guy/ Pickup Covers

Hi all!
This is my first post, but I've been watching/reading for a little while. I have a question for the Duncan elite here! I am finishing my custom strat. So far I have a TB-11, an SSL-5 on order and a strat stack. My problem is this: my stack pup has a black cover; everything else is white. Where can I find a pup cover that's tall enough to fit? I tried Guitar Electronics, but I was told that they no longer have those in stock. It seems as if I'm stuck. Any ideas/leads on one? All info is MOST appreciated!!!
Peace!

welcome to the forum!

if you got a new classic stack + i dont think you can change the cover cause its attached. is that what you got?

Re: New Guy/ Pickup Covers

First of all, Thanks for the welcome! It REALLY is an AWESOME place!
As for the pickup:
It is single coil sized, but with another coil added on top/bottom to cancel hum,it has six pole pieces AND is four conductor. The cover (plastic) came right off. Right now,I have another SD pickup cover on it(white) to replace the black one. The new cover;however, is made to fit a traditional-sized single coil pup. Due to the mis-match in size, the ears on the cover are a LITTLE *ahem* stressed. I have looked at a couple of sites (including Guitar Electronics,no dice and a couple other sites,no dice as well.) Can I not just BUY one from SD instead of being told by them to look at different suppliers? Man, This is REALLY turning into a total goose chase!:(

Okay, Here's a pic of the pickup with the original cover on.

Well, That (nitro) is just what the guitar is getting. It's a flame maple capped alder strat body and maple neck/fretboard. The headstock and body are dyed with transtint honey amber and she's gonna be sportin' a gold Wilky trem and Gold Fender tuners and a pearl pickguard and trem plate. I'm just waitin' on the nitro to cure out so I can start wet-sanding!

So....nobody know which rock I can look under to find one o' these "taller" pickup covers?

Call Seymour Duncan and have the photos ready. I'm sure they can help you.

I called SD today, and Scott took care of me. All I can say is that the folks at SD are a classy bunch o' folks! Good to know that in this day and age, there ARE some companies like Seymour Duncan that CARE about their customers and the folks that use their products!
