Fuzzy. Guitars
Well...that time has come. Ruby is my special needs/rescue ES-335 and when I bought here she was in need of a lot of work and TLC plus she'd lived her 40+ year life w/o even a case to live in!!!
I bought an SKB case to have her shipped to my house then to Canada then back to my house and she's done a lot of gigs in that SKB case and it is a fine case however today she's going to a new home...
In the mid 60's Victoria case!!!
The case needs a new handle (it's already on the way!) but past that it as correct as anyone could get!
During this time Gibson started using Victoria cases for the ES guitars because they were long enough to hold the 12 string ES-335 and EB-2 bases (which use ES-335 bodies) as well as the thinline version of the Trini Lopez which had the long Firebird style head stock...
This case is perfect for a mid to late 60's ES-335 and I'm thrilled to finally put ruby in the correct case!
