New Humbuckers

Greetings!
I am really happy to be here, with all of You!
I need an advice, as I can not decide myself!
I would like to change my current pickups as I am not satisfied.

The guitar , I am planning to upgrade, is ESP LTD MM-30:

Body: Alder
Top: Flamed Maple
Neck: Maple Set-Thru
Neck Contour: Thin U
Scale: 25.5”
Fingerboard: Ebony, Radius 350mm
Frets: 24 XJ
Bridge: LTD Strings-Thru-Body
Tuners: LTD Locking
Neck Pickup: Seymour Duncan SH-1N
Bridge Pickup: Seymour Duncan SH-14
Electronics: Passive, 1x Volume, 1x Tone with Push/Pull Coil Split, 3-Way Switch
Hardware: Black
Finish: See Thru Blood Red Sunburst

I have also a Mayones with JB/Jazz and Schecter with active EMG! So I need something else!
Until now, my choices would be:
Lundgren Black Heaven
Bare Knuckle Warpig(bridge), Aftermath (Neck) or
SD Nazgul/Sentient.

I need a different sound, more aggressive, for power/melodic death metal. Current set up is not covering my desirable sound.
Amp I use is Katana 50, but most of the time I play via my DAW (Cubase)-

I would be appreciated if You give me some advises how to proceed hereafter! Money issues is not a problem!

I am sorry for my English, as it is not my mother language!

Greetings,
Angel

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you have some nice guitars! I think the Nazgul/Sentient setup is a good one for what you want. The Nazgul wants distortion all the time, so if you intend to do any clean playing on this guitar's bridge pickup, you might consider the Pegasus instead. Otherwise, the Nazgul is a great choice.

Re: New Humbuckers

Thank You for the answer!
I am almost 90% sure I will set the Nazgul, but I would like to ask if Mayhem set and Black Winter as well, would be a good option according to the wood? I do not have the chance to try, and Youtube reviews are not so helpful...

I am sorry, but I would like to ask here another quiestion. It is about my Schecter., I really hate EMGs (81TW/89) Do the SD active pickups better, or to find a new owner of this guitar?

Re: New Humbuckers

Well, I like the Black Winters, but they are not just for playing distorted music- they sound good with all levels of gain so if you want a more versatile set, those are always my pick for super grindy distortion and clean sounds. The Mayhem set is a good choice if you need a little more brightness, and like the Nazgul, is pretty much a distortion-only set.
Of course, I like SD's actives better than any other brand, but you might get more unbiased response from some other forum members.

Re: New Humbuckers

How on Earth can a EMG loaded Schecter not fit the bill for Melodic Death Metal? Those cats like In Flames all used EMGs back in the day.

What's wrong with that guitar for your purposes? I'm curious.

Also, welcome! Where you from? Your English is fine, don't sweat it. :)
