New Incredible Amp Day! Amazing Deal Inside!

Oh Yeah!

I got this amazing amp yesterday. It's a Yamaha DG60-112, made in 2001 according to the serial no.
Guess many of you know that this amp has been discontinued for 7-8 years, and it is regarded one of the best solid-state/digital amp ever made. In fact as digital modelling amp this baby not only kicks Line6's ass, but also sounds competent comparing with any top-of-the-line valve amps out there.
You guys would assume that I got it used. No! It's freakin new. The store had this amp stock for n years and no one took notice....probably due to the Yamaha logo.
Guess for how many I got? Around US250! It's pretty good deal I must say!

nice! A friend of mine had a halfstack in the same series and it did sound pretty good. Some great tones to be unlocked from all those knobs.

What I love about this amp is that, unlike its bigger brothers, the DG-60 is very stripped down: just gain, volume, eq, presence, and reverb. That way I can just plug and play. IF I want a little of delay and chorus I will hook them up in the effect loop.

Years ago when the modeling amp market consisted of the Line 6 AxSys and these Yamaha amps, I went to a guitar shop that had both in stock and out of curiosity did a shootout.
The Line 6 sounded like a recording of an amp. 2 dimensional.
The Yamaha was more present, fatter, more 3 dimensional, right in your face. These Yamaha modeling amps have great tone.
