I don't know how it controls it... I haven't looked in the box yet. Its 2 GB.

It's an offbrand shuffle but I paid $40 for it and then found my old one so I don't need it.

It's called false advertising. Doesn't make people too apt to send you money. Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but purposely mis-representing something is called dishonest.
