Tried it and liked it. My favorite part about 'em are the vintage tremelo bridges.
I don't like the floating bridges regular jaguars have. I can't say much for the pick-ups. but a couple seymour duncans could make it scream.
Definetly better quality that hte squire strats I've tried lately

How is the neck? I know a lot of Squiers I have played latley have had awful necks. Are the pickups more smooth or snappy. Most Squier humbuckers are more twangy than smooth.

The neck is one part of the gutiar that I do remember, it is better than most squires I've played. I played a Squire tele custom that also had a nice neck, but these cheap squire strats and bullets I see all over the place have crap for necks.
As for the pick-ups, I can't remember good enough to give you a good description
