New Member Seeking DIMEBUCKER P/U Mounting Ring...

Hello there. I am a new member who is in the the process of assembling a 1987 Kramer E.E. SC-3 Project Guitar and am using a DIMEBUCKER in the bridge position (along w/a Twangbanger in the neck and a RWRP APS-1 in the middle) but it came to me w/o the matching mounting ring.

Of course I can use a standard ring for mounting it...but I'd much rather have the appropriate ring. So...if anyone has one w/which they would be generous enough to part, please let me know. It would be appreciated! :newbie:

Would a Bill Lawrence XL500 work as well???

BTW...love the DIMEBUCKER...this is the third one I've put into a guitar of mine...one in a 1989 Kramer Pacer Imperial, another in a 1985 Kramer Pacer Imperial and this one.

I apologize for my first post being a "Trading Post" Inquiry, but I AM IN NEED! Pic posted of my current project...taken when I was contemplating using an INVADER...

I think the rings from the old Bill Lawrence pickups will work too. I just picked up a Dimebucker last week and haven't put it in anything yet. You obviously like them, how does it compare to a Duncan Distortion or Full Shred?

Re: New Member Seeking DIMEBUCKER P/U Mounting Ring...

I only had a Duncan Distortio once...in my first Gunslinger/Assassin...and it was too bright for me w/a Maple Board and a Floyd. Never tried/heard a Full Shred.

I dig the DB though. If you look at the EQ as stated on SD's Site...they're listed as very much the same EQ as a Pearly Gates...but w/POWER, SUSTAIN, GAIN and excellent harmonics due to the high level of touch sensitivity these things have.

I've had them in a few guitars and didn't like the first one I had...but I've really enjoyed the 3 that followed. First one was in an Alder body...was a bit bright...second was in a Maple Body...all meat and potatoes...loved the tone...and this one is going in a Mahogany Body w/a Flame Maple Top.

Wouldn't necessarily recommend it for alder, IMHO, due to my experience as it was too bright for my tastes but it was just killer in the Maple Body and I anticipate the same w/the Mahogany/Maple.
