Hey Guys. I've been lurking on this forum for a while now but after picking up my latest few guitars I thought it was time to join the fold.

A few months back I realized that despite having some very nice guitars from some very nice manufacturers (PRS, Duesenberg etc) I spent 95% of my time playing my 2008 Fender American Standard Strat because the neck on it was just effortless. So I sold off all the guitars I didn't play and I bought these:

The body on this is a Fender Baja body I found on Ebay while looking for Telecasters. I wasn't looking for just a body specifically but the seller only wanted €120 for it and it was too nice to pass up at that price. Since I had sold off all my H/H guitars I ended up taking my router to this and threw in a covered JB/Jazz combo. I then finished this off with an American Standard neck I also got off Ebay.

Found this in the second hand section of a local guitar store last weekend. It's an American Strat, surf green with a contoured neck heel. Bridge has been upgraded to what appears to be a Hipshot Contour tremolo. I've been told the pickups are Duncans but they didn't know which models they were and I haven't pulled off the pick-guard off yet to check. This guitar plays and sounds amazing.

And finally....

Bought this at the same time as the Strat above. I wasn't planning on it buying a second guitar that day but I tried it out and it blew me away. By far the best value Tele on the market today, easily on par with it's American counterparts.

Anyways, that's enough typing, time for some playing :)

helluva way to introduce yourself.

welcome and happy NGD!

Re: New Member with a Triple NGD

welcome and congrats! I like that strat! I almost bought a Baja Tele but opted for the Squier vintage modified instead. The tex mex pups in the Baja are nice.

Re: New Member with a Triple NGD

Welcome to the jungle! Great looking guitars and I could really get into that Baja Tele.... it's the only guitar currently on my radar!

Welcome. Great photography, by the way.

Regarding the Strat's pups, the first incarnation of this Strat, called the Big Apple, came with a '59 and Pearly Gates Plus, and this combo continued to be used for a while when the guitar was renamed the Double Fat Strat. Fender switched to their own in-house pups at some point.
