i can't believe the tone! I finally installed that tweed bassman OT in my bandmaster and now that my JBL and fender are in perfect harmony impedence wise the tone is amazing.

With the volume at 7 i get a tad bit of power tube distortion glazing over the notes, at 9 i can finally get a sweet cranked fender tone without my speaker crapping out. Anybody who wants more volume, headroom, or bass response should look into these larger mercury magnetics output transformers, they're simply amazing!

Yeah, they really do make the best output transformers there are. Too bad Marshall didn't switch from Drake to Mercury. A lot of techs, use Mercury Trannys as an upgrade, as well as many boutique companies. Ironically, they're down the street from me, in Chatsworth, Ca. If Duncan doesn't hire me in a few weeks for Sr. Product Manager, I should apply over there!
