Hi Friends :) I just recorded a new song with ezmix, EMG81/85s and S2.0. it is pretty machine like and brutal, so I am calling it machine: http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=12074284

br00tz!!! Basically I took the class titled Meshuggah 101 and,

FOR HEAVY METAL CRISTMAS I BOUGHT MYSELF ezmix Metal Gods and the Koloss equalizing. It is a demo, so I did not spend long on it, hopefully Ill get the creative bug and work on a song for a few days later on tho ;)

Rock on :headbang:

edit: on soundcloud now:

Sounds awesome! There's a lot of weight to the notes. Drums are too wet for my liking.

Juicy stuff right there, sir!

That ****in' rocked man!!!

Love that scooped rhythm tone.

Big ol' slab of awesomeness. :headbang:

rock on, thanks bruthas :headbang:

Thanks for the opinion on wet drums, I'm gonna keep that in mind for the next recording, cheers :)

Sounds more like SYL, you sure that was a Meshuggah preset? :D

Interesting. Overall, I think the guitars could use less gain and more 'bite'. More Nevermore, less Lamb of God. You should also consider ducking so the drums can get a bit more definition.

Finally, in the name of All that is Holy -- PLEASE stop using Soundclick!! :)

cool brutha :)

I need to stop doing that, I dont think any other forum uses it ;)

here it is:

not sure how to ducking guitars for drums but I bet it is complicated, I might try stuff like that

this preset I used does not allow me to change the gain or any bass/treble lolerz  I need to consider other presets :) I like the simple riffs from Nevermore but ya that guy solos like crazy.

Thanks my friend :beerchug: I am going to see some heavy metal at my favorite bar called "Zombies" tonight so I will be drinking and rocking, good timez :headbang:

Some good chunk! My musical brain does not make music like this, so I dig it when a big modern BOOM comes hammering in...

Now Twilight, I cannot let my soundclick love go down without a fight, http://board.soundclick.com/viewtopic.php?t=389860 the masses are speaking! There are like 5 replies on this! :p I want to hit the 200,000 listens before I retire, I am getting there....

Re: New Metal Mix (testing Ezmix Metal Godz and s2.0 Koloss Christmas Present)

thanks kevlar3000, I usually do my downtuned heavy classic rock stuff, but I dabble with other styles; glad you dig it :beerchug: Hope you hit your goal, rock on :headbang:
