New modeler for cheap :)

"RectoMonkey" preset ..used to have this one in my little Zoom G1X Four pedal as well..


Still have'nt been able to locate the Marshall 59/plexi presets..those are awesome..

The trick of course, is to make your own patches, though some of the presets are pretty sweet out of the box..

Even after the factory reset I'm finding that there's an acute shortage of lead & high gain presets in this unit....and the one's they have are'nt anywhere near gainy enough for me. Normally I'd just go into the preset and pump up the gain to taste, but in a lot of cases here I'm still at sea as to how to access the amp/dist pedal sims (I just can't find where they are in the effects chain ). They're fuckin' missing! I guess it's time to hit the youtube tutorials. I don't remember having much of a problem with the little Zoom G1X Four...

In fact there are'nt really that many presets in this unit period. Almost everything's "EMPTY" (??) And I have'nt figured out how to access the individual amp's & effect's....which makes it tough to even build a patch from zero...
 
Made a patch from scratch..it's not perfect but it works (Just the Marshal '59 amp sim + delay + hi/low pass + reverb plus some kind of Mesa cab). Might still have some refining/fine tuning to do though :bigthumb:

 
As the modeling engine improves with firmware updates, they may also update the factory presets, too. Worth searching to see if they did that. Also, I bet there are hundreds of user presets out there, too.
 
Yeah. I'm still to hook up the thing to my comp w/usb or try the editing/file sharing software/online stuff etc. For Now I'm just messing w/ the unit itself trying to make/modify patches of my own. I'll get to the other stuff later..

so here's where I'm at after a bit more tweaking EQ...

I don't think I can add much to that unless I used a bunch of studio plugins/tricks (that I actually had & knew what to do with :p) but straight out of the unit to Reaper this is probably it for me, as far as patch #1 goes .... which is cool cuz I'm pretty happy with it. :bigthumb:

Time to move on to downloading & tweaking other people's patches now :laugh2:
