I just got my new Yamaha AES620 in translucent dark red last week. It came with a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB on the bridge. I decided to upgrade the stock Alnico neck pickup with a Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz Model.
Now here's the funny part...I'm 48 years old and this is my first new electric guitar. I had a cheap electric when I was 12 but I never had a lesson and never learned to play. I bought my 11 year old daughter a Fender GC-12 acoustic last Christmas. She has been taking lessons since then and has never missed a session. She practices every day and she's getting pretty good at it. I bought myself a Fender CD-60 acoustic last Spring so I could play with her (I know some chords). I hope to pass the Yamaha on to her when she's ready.
In the mean time, let's see if you can teach an old dog some new tricks. Woof!
