New Pedal day!

Re: New Pedal day!

ok, for those of you interested. i've had the pedal for a day or so and this is my first impression of it.
it's a nice creamy OD pedal. it's got a fairly decent amount of gain, i would say it's more than an 808. it's got a bit more bite and clarity than My maxon 808 and it sounds great both in rhythm and in lead lines. it also stacks up nicely with other pedals (like a keeley BD-2). it responded well to my guitar's volume knob, gave me decent grit, and it cleaned up really well.
Construction:
Built like a tank. the switch is TBP and the PCB uses some great quality components. (i know i looked) for about $100 bucks you can't go wrong.
Shipping was quick i got mine in about a week and i'm in Canada. it was well packed.
My only real problem with it so far was that i was expecting it to have the red lettering like on gearmanndude's Demo, but that Demo was a bit old and he does not keep lots of stock laying around. oh, well, i bought it for the sound not the look. it still looks awesome in all it's golden gloriousness.

Re: New Pedal day!

im glad you are digging it. I have to say from the vid you posted i wasnt a huge fan.

Re: New Pedal day!

here's a pic of my board...notice the empty spot... that's where the FTL drive is going to go.... the Gold pedal is gearmanndude's Luther Drive that arrived wednesday

Re: New Pedal day!

thank you! i still need to buy a Carbon Copy Delay (or a Cmatmods Deeelay) and a good compressor/sustainer. i'm also thinking about trading in that Keeley DS-1...
