Well It's christmas season meaning University is done temporarily(good riddance) and I start rakin in the money. I'm really lookin for a nice overdrive for my Traynor YCV50. I'm trying to find a pedal that gives me a nice 70's 80's rock/classic rock/dirty blues tone. Somewhat like Lynyrd Skynyrd Simple man/ Black betty, SRV's Im going down. These songs are somewhat in the ballpark of the tone I'm lookin for. I've been jumping all over lookin at pedals from the MI audio Bluespro, to the Fulltone 70's Fuzz, Barber DD, and recently the MJM BluesDevil. I need help deciding. As horrible as it is the only pedals I can try out around here are Boss pedals... So this is just gonna have to be a lucky please let it be the sound I want pedal. That's why I'm asking for help in a good pedal for these type of tones. So far im leaning towards the MJM Blues Devil (that pedals probably highest I want to go in price).

Why not put up a poll? Then everyone can thrash that around for a bit.

As for me, I have no experience with any of those pedals, so I can't help you. Sorry

A Boutique pedal builder in Nova Scotia?? That's a first.. What type of sounds do you get out of the fireburst?? Whats it suitable for?

Yeah they're in Sackville, Musicstop stocks there stuff. The fireburst is pretty damn versatile. It has two sides, Fuzz and another stomp switch that kicks in the mid-boost and tightens things up into a real nice distortion. Your best bet is to try one for yourself. All I can really say is that I love this pedal to bits. The fuzz side can get reaallly thick and the distortion side has huge range. Go in and try one for yourself if you can, also check out the new J-Drive it's going to have a built in treble booster. Should be shipping very soon.

EDIT: I forgot to say that there are clips on the website.
